I don't normally photograph, let alone post on my site, a relatively unheard of cover band. The prelude to ZZ Top, I just had to include these guys on my site cuz I really like their style. Not only that, 9 House are a bunch of heavy duty rockin' fuckers. Between the Zeppelin, Van Halen and AC/DC covers, and their own stuff, these guys may be Racing to the Boneyard, but they're racing there with a great soundtrack in tow. As soon as buddy started threatening to spank some "pimply little ass" in the audience, I knew this band and I would get along just fine. A sense of humour goes a long way these days and 9 House aint afraid to show it. I got the impression this was definitely the biggest stage they'd ever been on. I mean these guys were really enjoying their time up there as short lived as it was. The lead singer who looked a lot like Paul Newman, was in great shape and spared us not in the posing department. He led us through umpteen classics commanding the audience like a pro. The bass player could also sing like a motherfucker as well. He nailed some AC/DC and Zeppelin dead on. It was quite surprising and got a hell of a crowd reaction. Just goes to show, if you wanna make an audience happy, I mean ANY audience, play AC/DC real fuckin LOUD. |
