These pictures blow.  I just couldn't hit the nail on the head this night at all.  At least not with the Foo Fighters.  The Cheap Trick shots came out great.  No wonder after half the crowd took off and left all us old fuckers standing there enjoying our nostalgic moment.  The crowd was just nuts for the Foo Fighters.  I am too.  I'd have to say that of all the bands out there right now, Foo Fighters is definitely my favorite.  Well... actually Finger Eleven is my favorite but Foo Fighters is SO close behind.... I think Dave Grohl is the shit.  Nevermind (all puns intended) his days with Nirvana, I wasn't a huge Nirvana fan anyway.  I thought they were pretty cool but I honestly thought they were a whiney little highly over-rated band.  Best band of the millennium?  NOT. Best band of the 90's?  NOT. (yeah I still say NOT cuz like, we invented NOT)  Sure they single handedly fucked over the whole metal scene but the metal scene needed a good fucking over.  It was too goofy.  All this gigantic sprayed hair and makeup on guys.  What the fuck was that?  And the chicks... they all looked like hookers.  They might as well have had mattresses strapped to their backs.

I gotta admit, I really liked the slutty look.  I sometimes long for it to come back in.  Did I say that out loud?

Listen to me.  I'm supposed to be telling you about the Foo Fighters show but all I can think of is the end of the heavy metal era.  Foo had four albums out when this tour rolled into Sarnia's Bayfest.  One of the best kept secrets in Southern Ontario, Bayfest attracts all kinds of great bands for REAL cheap.  Cheap Trick, Collective Soul, Tragically Hip, Finger Eleven, Our Lady Peace... the list goes on and on.  We've been making it a tradition to check out at least one show at Bayfest every year.  When Foo Fighters was announced to be playing Bayfest I almost shit.  I had a GREAT time.  It was everything I expected.  Every tune they played I knew inside and out.  Only thing... my pictures suck.

Can't wait for them to come back so I can have another crack at them.
