Guelph, Ontario - Club Denim - June 10, 2004
| Opening for Finger Eleven has gotta be an unnerving spot to be in unless you fucking rock. I must say these guys fucking rock. I saw them milling about amongst the dumpsters out back of Club Denim but didn't have a clue who they were. If I'd only known, I'd have taken them in, fed them and given buddy a razor. During sound check, buddy comes out wearing a killer looking Fedora with shades. I thought he looked something like Sam Roberts or Pete Yorn. I figured we'd be hearing some kinda mellower shit as an opener. | I couldn't have been more fucking wrong. This stocky little Oriental dude walks out and starts hammering on the drums and I'm thinking, this is pretty cool. Then the scruffy looking fucker walks out and starts crunching out beautiful filth on a Les Paul. THAT'S fuckin Rock n Roll. Heavy Rock n Roll. Just the way I like it. I don't have a whole lot to say other than they were really tight, really heavy and really scruffy lookin. Jeremy shoulda left his Fedora on for a few tunes! |
