This was part of the Summersault 97 show with Our Lady Peace and I Mother Earth. Really, the headliner could have been a toss up between OLP, TParty and IME... The guys from Tea Party are a hard workin group of lads. Any band with only 3 players in it have to work their fuckin asses off to make it sound like MORE than 3 guys or they end up relying on canned music and "phantom musicians" hiding backstage to fill in the holes. Rush, Motorhead, ZZ Top, and Triumph, are all examples of the hard working trio. That's where I snapped the B&W of Jeff Martin holding the microphone. I'd heard the Tea Party on the radio a few million times but the proof is in the pudding and the pudding is seeing them live. Can they pull off the shit they been playing live or are they a studio band? Well the answer my friends is this: These guys can play live for me any day of the week. They rank right up there with the best 3 man bands I've ever seen. I saw them at the SARS fest as well but the pics I took of them there were so fucked up I can't even show them to you. Sorry... next time maybe.
